The purpose of this seminar: Doing Business with WMATA and Its Partners: Growth Strategies for Small, Local and Disadvantaged Businesses, is to educate small businesses in the District of Columbia about WMATA’s Small & Local Business and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Programs and Vendor Registration System. In addition, this workshop will provide guidance for potential contracting opportunities via technical assistance at DC SBDC and opportunities to enhance education through courses offered at University of Phoenix. WMATA and DCSBDC representatives will conduct presentations and facilitate discussions to increase the awareness of programs offered for the advantage of small and local businesses in DC. This combined effort will aid economic growth for participating small and local businesses in DC. Businesses with a minimum of 2 years operations are particularly encouraged to attend.
